A Japanese global logistics company is recruiting a HR Admin & Payroll Staff to join their office near Amsterdam.

The HR Admin & Payroll Officer will manage the payroll department and oversee HR functions, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with government regulations. Responsibilities include administering employee pay, auditing payroll, office management, facilities management, and policy development.

Type: Permanent, full-time

Working hours: Monday to Friday, flexible, core times 9:00 – 16:30 (8 hours + 30 minutes break)

Salary: €3,500 – 4,300 per month, depending on experience, plus benefits

Start: ASAP

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Office based)

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with business rules and procedures
  • Manage procedures for expats (work and residence permits, housing, etc.)
  • Administer pensions and insurance
  • Coordinate with health insurance providers
  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation
  • Ensure workforce safety
  • Design payroll systems and oversee data collection, calculation, and entry
  • Update payroll records and process employee payments
  • Prepare payroll reports and summaries
  • Calculate payroll liabilities and taxes
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Respond to payroll inquiries
  • Update payroll policies and ensure legal compliance
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
  • Attend educational workshops to stay current
  • Schedule and supervise payroll staff
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate payroll staff
  • Contribute to team efforts as needed
