An experienced House Manager is sought to oversee the day‑to‑day operation of an exceptional private residence in Berlin. The property serves as the principal's city residence while also welcoming extended family members and business guests throughout the year. This is a hands‑on position requiring a highly organised and service-oriented professional who takes genuine pride in maintaining a residence to the highest standards. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the property, ensuring it is impeccably presented, fully operational and always prepared for the Principal's arrival.

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Guest Experience

• Provide professional welcome and personalised care for the principal, family members, business colleagues and guests, ensuring an exceptional standard of hospitality and guest service.
• Ensure the residence is always guest‑ready, creating a warm, welcoming and impeccably prepared environment for every arrival.
• Prepare and coordinate meetings, private gatherings and representative events.
• Ensure first‑class food, beverage and service standards at all times.
• Select, coordinate and manage external catering, kitchen and hospitality service providers, maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Prepare and elegantly present dining tables and event spaces, both indoors and outdoors.
• Oversee floral arrangements, decorative styling and seasonal presentation throughout the residence and grounds.
• Create an inviting and representative atmosphere through coordinated lighting, fireplaces, décor and other aesthetic details.
• Support occasional entertaining and special events, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Household & Estate Operations

• Oversee the overall day‑to‑day management and presentation of the residence, ensuring it is maintained to exceptional standards at all times.
• Take full responsibility for the smooth daily operation of the estate while maintaining a consistently immaculate and representative appearance.
• Manage inventory and arrange procurement of food, beverages, flowers, household supplies and consumables.
• Coordinate and supervise housekeeping, laundry services and other household service providers, ensuring consistently high standards.
• Maintain exceptionally high levels of organisation and presentation throughout the property.
• Ensure all household systems, facilities and amenities operate efficiently and are fully prepared for occupancy.
• Assist with the smooth running of the residence and consistently deliver exceptional hospitality standards.
• Take responsibility for the technical and operational management of the entire estate, including planning, coordinating and supervising all maintenance, servicing and repair activities.
• Carry out regular property inspections, proactively identifying maintenance requirements before issues arise.
• Arrange preventative maintenance programmes to ensure the long‑term preservation and efficient operation of the property.
• Ensure all buildings, gardens and outdoor areas are maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the year.
• Work independently, taking full ownership of the residence and continuously seeking opportunities to enhance its operation and presentation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a House Manager within a private household or luxury hospitality environment
• Driving licence
• A strong hospitality mindset combined with practical facilities or property management experience
