The Role

Our Assistant Store Managers are integral to the success of the HOKA Brand. As an Assistant Manager, it’s your job to partner closely with the Store Manager to develop team members, provide the best customer service possible, and communicate our company’s values, vision, and mission. You know how to effectively navigate a complex business to satisfy customers and develop team members while working under the pressure of competing business priorities.

Recognizing the integral role of community within the HOKA Brand, you prioritize fostering connections both within and beyond the store's physical space. Through engaging interactions with our knowledgeable HOKA Experts, innovative local initiatives, and active participation in Brand events, you extend invitations to customers to become part of the vibrant HOKA community. Your awareness of industry trends and local market dynamics enables proactive collaboration with Store and District Managers to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Your Impact

• Coach and develop your team to drive business results and professional growth
• Ensure the highest level of customer service possible and prioritize brand and product knowledge training
• Meet and exceed budgeted sales and KPIs
• Develop store strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, increase traffic, and optimize profitability
• Proactively and continuously cultivate community through events, local outreach, and engagement with your market beyond the store's four walls
• Onboard and train team members to ensure engaged and high-performing teams
• Ensure the highest level of visual merchandising and standards and take responsibility for execution of visual directives and guidelines
• Drive key initiatives and support programs that enhance the customer journey
• Manage inventory and implement store administration and operations including compliance with policies and procedures
• Hire the best team members by identifying talent quickly and regularly maintaining a network for recruiting candidates
• Ensure seamless store operations by implementing and upholding policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance and efficiency.

The Assistant Manager of Visual Merchandising & Community Engagement fulfills the Assistant Manager role, with a focus on:

• Emphasize improving the customer visual experience and upholding exceptional in-store standards with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with the EMEA Visual Experience team to craft customized strategies for the Berlin market, considering regional nuances to enhance the Flagship visual experience.
• Lead and work collaboratively with team members to guarantee elevated visual experiences, while also nurturing their professional growth through training and career development programs.
• Execute visual guidelines in conjunction with the regional Visual Merchandising team to refine in-store design and product presentation across footwear, apparel, and accessories
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, local enterprises, and governmental bodies to bolster the store's presence and impact within the community.
• Plan and execute community events, workshops, fundraisers, and promotional activities that resonate with the store's values and objectives, fostering meaningful connections with the community.
• Identify synergistic opportunities for collaboration with local businesses or organizations, aiming to mutually benefit both the store and the community.
• Establish and manage volunteer programs incentivizing store employees to actively participate in community service endeavors, fostering a culture of giving back and social responsibility among team members.

• Excellent leadership skills and experience managing people in a customer-facing environment
• You embrace digital proficiency and evolving technology demands, harnessing their potential to enhance operational efficiency and engage with customers in innovative ways.
• You can demonstrate a track record of exceeding sales targets and cost management for a store of comparable volume and size
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate people, resources, and services to address business goals and needs
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a knack for effectively tackling challenges that may arise.
• Agility to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of the business, extending beyond the store's physical boundaries.
