Purpose of Role

The Systems Technicians are the first responders for client support, handling tickets or calls. They will answer calls, document requests, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed. They follow set procedures for incident and service request management, including time recording.

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication & Microsoft Office
  • A keen interest in IT and Telecommunications
Requirements
Desirable Attributes for Success
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with ITSM tools and methodologies
  • Relevant tertiary IT qualifications, industry, and ITIL certifications
  • Experience with remote support and end-user support within a Remote Desktop Services environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange
  • Server & network management skills
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and diagnostics
  • Willingness to work on a shifting schedule
