As a High Voltage Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of innovative high-voltage AC and DC equipment. Your expertise in discharge mechanisms, insulation coordination, and component design will drive the next generation of high-voltage systems. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define architectures, validate concepts, and drive innovation from research to product deployment.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and validate detailed designs for high-voltage AC and DC equipment, such as breakers, cables, transformers, and insulation systems.
  • Sound understanding of discharge mechanisms and phenomena ensure robust and reliable equipment design and performance.
  • Evaluate and optimize insulation coordination and protection strategies for high-voltage systems.
  • Collaborate with electro-mechanical and construction teams to ensure integrated system performance.
  • Drive the development and evaluation of innovative concepts for next-generation high-voltage power equipment.
  • Support R&D and innovation projects with technical insights and recommendations.
  • Document findings and contribute to technical publications, standards, and internal knowledge bases.


What You Bring

  • PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in high-voltage equipment design, discharge mechanisms, and insulation coordination.
  • Proven experience with high-voltage AC and DC systems, including component design and testing.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and construction skills are beneficial.
  • Analytical approach, structured working style, and strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills at C1 level are appreciated.
