Position Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, repair, and maintain heavy power construction equipment
• Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities, including diagnostics and preventive maintenance
• Excavate, move, and grade earth to maintain roadways and firebreaks
• Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Calibrate load monitoring indicators and rebuild hydraulic cylinders, valves, and other components
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment
• Licensed or trained to operate applicable items of heavy equipment
• Must be experienced in the repair of major systems
• Specialized knowledge and skills in diesel and heavy automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of US military heavy vehicles and equipment, MHE, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, military regulations standards, and OEM requirements preferred
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Must be an EU resident and authorized to work in Germany

Contract Requirements:

• Completed training in Vehicle Maintenance or related field from military technical school or an accredited technical school/college/university
• Two (2) years' experience maintaining special purpose-type vehicles
