Jobbeschreibung

Under general supervision, the Credits Representative identifies, analyzes, and resolves credit balances within the assigned portfolio of accounts. The representative applies acquired skills to perform credit responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Perform responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures; meet or exceed goals within defined timelines.
2. Work to resolve credit balances by identifying the type of credit and taking appropriate action.
3. Identify, analyze, and research refund requests from Commercial, Government, and Patient accounts for accuracy and submission.
4. Submit cash corrections and adjustments in the system to resolve posting issues causing credit balances.
5. Perform insurance verifications and resolve COB issues causing credit balances.
6. Contact insurance to verify outstanding credit balances and follow steps to resolve based on responses.
7. Identify credit trends and report to management for resolution.
8. Assist with projects as assigned by supervisor.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :

High School Diploma required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

• 1-2 years' experience in medical credit or insurance collections.
• Knowledge of state statute limitations is helpful.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, databases, and email applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good time management and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication skills for interaction at all management levels.
