Zusammenfassung

g2 Recruitment seeks an experienced HSE Officer to join a major Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt. You will ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across all site activities and lead safety meetings and inductions on a busy site.

Requirements include 3+ years on large-scale construction, NEBOSH Construction Cert and IOSH Managing Safely, with EU/ German work eligibility. Immediate start preferred for a long-term contract.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Health & Safety Officer on large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practice.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively on a busy construction site.

Aufgaben

We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join a major Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt. Working for a leading MEP contractor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across all site activities.

This is a long-term opportunity offering 12 months of work with the potential for extension on one of Europe's fastest-growing data centre developments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce all site Health & Safety procedures.
• Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits.
• Carry out risk assessments and review method statements (RAMS).
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inductions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with German HSE legislation and project-specific safety requirements.
• Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors and project management teams regarding HSE matters.
• Track and maintain HSE documentation and records.
• Monitor permit-to-work systems and high-risk activities.
• Support emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Health & Safety Officer on large-scale construction, industrial, pharmaceutical, power, infrastructure or data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practice.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively on a busy construction site.
• EU Passport or valid right to work in Germany.

Preferred

• Previous experience working for MEP contractors.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience working within live or mission-critical environments.
