As the Health Economics & Market Access Manager for the Cardiovascular area, you will develop and implement strategies in close collaboration with marketing, sales, and the local / regional HEMA organization to sustainably ensure market access and competitive advantage for Johnson & Johnson products in a value-oriented healthcare market.

  • Responsibilities :

Preparation, dissemination, and persuasive communication of the medical and economic value of relevant procedures and our products to clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

Research on health economic, social law, and health policy topics. Utilize data and insights for the development of internal working tools and preparation for marketing and sales, as well as adaptation of existing international tools to the German market.

Creation of substantial reimbursement information, point of contact for marketing and sales.

Relationship management and development with clinical sites and key personnel from clinical and non-clinical areas. Accompanying sales colleagues to appointments with subject-specific content.

Building a network with relevant stakeholders (professional societies, KOLs, medical controlling, and other non-clinical stakeholders) in the respective specialties.

Development and implementation of sustainable outcome-based agreements and other commercial models in collaboration with sales and HEMA EMEA.

Implementation of market access / reimbursement strategies including definition, development, and timely submission of market access and reimbursement applications in collaboration with marketing and the local HEMA organization.

Creation and execution of training on all relevant areas of responsibility.

  • Qualifications :

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or consulting company, in medical controlling, with a billing service provider, or in health insurance or higher education, and a relevant university degree.

The following skills are important for the successful fulfillment of the position :

Very good knowledge in inpatient and outpatient service billing and the business management of hospital management.

Deep insights into the German healthcare system, current reform processes, and an understanding of the resulting consequences for hospitals and other service providers.

Understanding of health economic concepts and techniques such as opportunity costs, cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit analysis, as well as evidence-based medicine (EBM), epidemiology, and statistical methods.

Ability and enthusiasm to communicate complex issues clearly and understandably.

Sales spirit with the ability to empathize with the role of the respective stakeholders and develop creative solutions.

Commitment to meeting high quality standards within sometimes tight project deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel.

Good analytical and conceptual skills.

Very good communication skills in German and English.

Proactive, meticulous, independent, and solution-oriented.

Motivation to develop in an entrepreneurial work environment, willingness to take on responsibilities beyond the typical scope of work, creativity, and the desire to work goal-oriented with other company areas.

Experience and knowledge of neuroradiology and / or electrophysiology is desirable.
