New open position : Health & Safety Office (HSO) M / F / D
Responsibilities :
- The HSO creates the HSE Plan based on country-specific regulations, customer requirements, and client standards.
- The HSO controls and monitors the construction site on behalf of the GPM regarding occupational health, safety, and environment management, ensuring compliance with all regulatory HSE requirements, including the HSE plan, client Construction Site Regulations, and project-specific HSE requirements.
- The HSO's role on the construction site includes :
- Conducting inspections, site visits, and safety walks to verify compliance with HSE requirements and site-specific risk assessments, including checking the validity of site inspections.
- Instructing and ensuring workmen or subcontractors comply with fire protection regulations, emergency equipment, and personal protection equipment.
- Checking environmental procedures such as waste management and hazardous materials handling.
- Ensuring all site staff are registered and have valid certifications, such as G41 for work at heights.
- Providing safety inductions and training for all staff involved in wind farm construction.
- Preparing and updating the HSE Project Report weekly and distributing it to relevant parties.
- Reporting serious HSE deviations immediately to the GPM and CM.
- Supporting the GPM and CM in implementing safety improvements and preventive measures.
- Organizing emergency plans, drills, and ensuring all emergency signage and communication channels are functional.
- Handling incident reporting and liaising with local emergency services as required.
- Participating in HSE meetings and supporting the client in ensuring safety compliance by operators and subcontractors.
- Ensuring subcontractors appoint responsible safety personnel and review their safety documents prior to activities.

- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Qualifications: FaSi / SiFa (Safety Specialist / Construction Safety Specialist), or Safety Engineer degree, or a degree in HSE including training stages I and II of FaSi / SiFa.
- Experience in the construction industry, especially wind industry, is desirable.
- German language proficiency is mandatory.
- Willingness to relocate across multiple wind farms in Germany.
