Head PLM Connectivity Business – Southern Europe and DACH (Remote)

The Product Line Manager (PLM) is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the product portfolio for passive fiber optic components, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives. This role bridges the gap between engineering, sales, and marketing, driving innovation and growth while optimizing product lifecycle.
Reporting Relationships:
Direct reporting to Business Head connectivity with matrix reporting to Regional head Southern Europe.
KPI:
- Providing techno-commercial support to sales / Application engineers.
- Preparing strategic & tactical business plans, analysing business needs and taking corrective actions.
- Ensuring growth in sales targeting an increase in revenue and maximization of EBIT.
- Leading product roadmap initiatives required for regional growth while aligning with long-term strategic objectives.
- Bringing new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and development programs; preparing ROI analyses; establishing timelines with engineering and manufacturing.
- Spearheading product promotion activities, including presentations, road shows, newsletters, etc.
- Owning sales collateral such as presentations, datasheets, and demo samples.
- Assessing market competition by comparing the company's products to competitors'.
- Determining product pricing based on market research, costs, and volume forecasts, including customized orders.
- Defining and prioritizing the product development pipeline for responsible products.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in product management or similar roles within the fiber optic or telecommunications industry.
- Fluent in English to ensure effective communication with the team and corporate.
Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of passive fiber optic components, including fiber components, passive optical components, ODF, subracks, joint closures, patch cords, boxes, street cabinets, and connectors (single/multi-fiber, outdoor, hardened, MIL tactical).
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate market needs into product solutions.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in database analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of international standards (ITUT, IEC, CENELEC).
- Experience in selling connectivity solutions to telco customers in the EU region.
- Knowledge of market pricing levels.
