Our proprietary predictive salary model allows us to assess creditworthiness without a credit check, collateral, or cosigner, meaning we can help those who are often overlooked by traditional financial institutions. Tasks

You will:

• Own and further develop our underwriting and student scoring model for evaluating student applicants, including identifying gaps and areas of improvement.
• Build systems or models to analyze and interpret data to assess the creditworthiness and risk profile of students.
• Incorporate external market factors and data into the underwriting model to ensure accurate risk assessment.
• Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques in underwriting.
• Lead the data collection efforts to ensure informed data-based decision making.

Requirements

You have:

• A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, economics, mathematics, data science).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting or an adjacent field, preferably in an insurance, financial, or lending institution.
• A strong proficiency in data analysis and modeling with expertise in using statistical software and programming languages such as Python.
• A solid understanding of credit risk assessment principles and methodologies.
• The ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A self-motivated and proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
