Our cross-functional Product & Tech teams are organized along the customer journey, each being completely in charge of their corresponding part of our platform. We are looking for a Head of Technology to join our Product & Tech department with main focus on execution delivery, system architecture, and stability of our platform. We are a department of 60 multi-national colleagues distributed in 10 cross-functional teams mainly based in Berlin, Hamburg and Braunschweig. Together, we are responsible for the very heart of our business - our TEAL platform - enabling the best-in-class loan comparison experience for B2C customers, affiliates and B2B partners.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Support the teams with execution and delivery of high-quality features and improvements in line with agreed concepts, our technical guidelines and architecture
• Do concept sparring and reviews with regard to approach and effort estimations
• Define and oversee the decision-making process on system architecture and technical roadmap
• Work closely with the teams, POs, Product & Tech leads and stakeholders from other departments to gain deep understanding of the platform, processes and according business needs
• Lead by example and explain WHY in a collaborative manner

YOUR PROFILE

• You are hands-on , an empathetic leader and enthusiastic about driving things forward while working in a highly collaborative environment
• You have at least 3 years of experience heading a group of tech teams and the establishment of excellent tech execution and delivery
• You have actively participated in building / running tech organizations within bigger startup-like companies or ideally grown-ups with flat hierarchies, experience in network organizations and/or servant leadership is a plus
• You are used to work in a data and KPI-intensive environment relying on an event-based architecture and data platforms
• You have experience with React and NextJS
• You are deeply adept at NodeJs , Typescript and Golang in the backend
• You are able to lead discussions on cloud infrastructures with containerized microservices in AWS and Kubernetes (EKS)
• You are proficient in English , both written and spoken,and have a good command of German
