For our location in Backnang, we are looking for you as:
What you’ll do
- You will assume technical and managerial responsibility for the employees under your supervision and systematically develop their potential.
- You will be responsible for the division’s results, budget, and costs, and will manage it using relevant key performance indicators.
- You will ensure medium- and long-term demand, capacity, and utilization planning, as well as cost-effective workforce planning.
- You will be responsible for operational supply chain services at the Backnang site, including scheduling, goods receipt/shipment, and tool issuance. (An expansion to include adjacent logistics responsibilities is possible as part of the final organizational decisions.)
- You will ensure that materials are supplied according to demand and will be responsible for ensuring that materials and tools are supplied in the correct quality and quantity, at the right time, and in the right place.
- You will manage and optimize the flow of goods and information along the value chain and continuously develop and improve the planning, warehousing, and operational SCM processes.
- You analyze inventory levels and relevant metrics such as stock levels, slow-moving items, excess inventory, forecasts, and material-related production downtime, and derive appropriate measures based on these analyses.
- You will initiate and oversee improvement measures as well as internal and cross-functional projects.
- You ensure that employees have the necessary qualifications, receive the required instruction and training, and comply with relevant processes and guidelines.
- You assume managerial responsibilities for your area of responsibility and ensure compliance with labor, health, environmental, and safety regulations.
- You will represent stoba at important meetings and in the event of escalations, and you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Purchasing, Production, Production Control, Sales, IT, Controlling, suppliers, and customers.
- You will keep the Head of SCM informed about relevant developments and unusual occurrences within your area of responsibility.

What you bring with you
- You have completed a technical or business apprenticeship, hold a relevant degree, or have a comparable qualification.
- You have at least five years of professional experience in logistics, scheduling, or supply chain management, as well as leadership experience.
- You have experience in the financial management of a specific area of responsibility as well as in optimizing supply chain, scheduling, and warehouse processes.
- You have a good understanding of KPI analysis and can derive appropriate actions from it.
- You have strong IT skills, particularly in SAP and MS Excel.
- You are familiar with the relevant legal and technical regulations and standards for your area of responsibility.
- Your professional development and training are up to date with the latest industry standards.
- You have good to very good written and spoken English skills and communicate confidently with internal and external contacts.
