Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Developing and overseeing the process of forecasting demand for the company's products.
- Inventory Management: Strategizing and implementing inventory management practices to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing excess inventory while ensuring sufficient stock for customer demand and production.
- Production Planning: Collaborating with production teams to develop production plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets, including scheduling, supplier coordination, and efficiency optimization.
- Supply Planning: Managing procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, negotiating contracts, and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Distribution Planning: Optimizing the distribution network to minimize costs and lead times, ensuring timely delivery, selecting transportation modes, and managing warehouse locations.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking KPIs like forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and on-time delivery, analyzing data to improve processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to align supply chain efforts with business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Seeking opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and adopt new technologies and best practices.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks such as supplier disruptions and geopolitical issues through contingency planning and diversification.
- Leadership and Team Management: Leading and developing the supply chain team, setting goals, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business administration, engineering, or related fields.
- MBA or Master's in supply chain management is beneficial.
- 10+ years of experience in a global environment.
- 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Experience leading the S&OP process.
- Experience building planning systems and teams.
- Ability to manage cross-functional change initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and goal-oriented.
Beneficial but not essential
- CSCP, CPIM, CPSM certifications.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- Change Management experience.
