Nordex Group in Hamburg seeks a Head of Sourcing Construction Germany to lead the sourcing strategy for crane services and installation contracts across Germany, ensuring capacity, competitiveness, and operational excellence.

You will build strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate high-value contracts, and manage a portfolio of 30-40 partners while collaborating with Project Management, Construction, Operations and Procurement teams to align sourcing with project needs.

• Ensure availability of critical construction resources and supplier capacity to support project execution timelines.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 3 sourcing professionals, fostering collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Construction, Project Management, Operations, and Procurement stakeholders to align sourcing activities with project requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation and improvement measures when required.

As Head of Sourcing Construction Germany, you will lead the sourcing strategy for critical construction services supporting the delivery of wind energy projects across Germany. You will be responsible for developing and managing strategic supplier partnerships in areas such as crane services and installation activities, ensuring capacity, competitiveness, and operational excellence. Working closely with Project Management, Construction, and Operations teams, you will play a key role in enabling the successful execution of Nordex projects.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
• Approximately 10 years of professional experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supplier Management within a complex project-driven environment
• Proven experience negotiating and managing high-value contracts and supplier relationships
• Experience within the wind energy industry, construction environment, crane services, or installation activities is highly desirable
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop teams and influence stakeholders across different functions
• Excellent relationship management skills and a proactive, outgoing personality capable of building trust with suppliers and business partners
• Strong commercial mindset combined with negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Based in Germany, ideally in the Hamburg area, with willingness to travel as required
