Optimus Search is looking for a Head of Software/Hardware Development in Stuttgart. The position involves managing the development department and collaborating with international offices. A degree in Computer Science or a similar field is required along with strong C/C++, Linux, and Qt skills.

The ideal candidate will oversee various software components, work in an Agile environment, and ensure effective communication across teams. Fluency in both German and English is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Completed a degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable subject.
• Strong understanding of C/C++.
• Expert knowledge in Linux (Ubuntu).
• Qt proficiency is necessary.
• Knowledge of industrial communication (I2C, RS-485).
• Ideally, knowledge of databases (SQL), Delphi, and some exposure to Hardware.
• Fluency in German & English.

• Conception of Software & Hardware Components
• Oversee the maintenance and development of current software components
• Management of the construction and implementation of test circumstances
• Agile work environment
• Occasional hands‑on software development using C++ (although not the focus)
