In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of software solutions for machine and system control, working closely with both hardware and software teams in a highly technical environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement system and control concepts for industrial automation platforms based on real-time Linux
• Develop and integrate software modules such as real-time interfaces, PLC communication, and HMI components
• Validate hardware and software functionality, including performance, interface behaviour, and system stability
• Support the extension and maintenance of internal engineering and development toolchains
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, service, and design departments, to gather and refine requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software quality, maintainability, and automation processes

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in software development or industrial automation environments is beneficial, though motivated junior candidates are also encouraged to apply
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Linux environments, ideally within real-time systems
• Experience with modern development environments and tools (e.g. VS Code, CLion, Git)
• Familiarity with industrial automation or control system development is advantageous
• Experience with CI/CD environments (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins) is beneficial
• Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and independent working style
• Good written and spoken German skills
