What You DoThis role is responsible for ensuring that the sales strategy is successfully implemented, revenue targets are met, and the sales team operates effectively to support the company’s success. He is also responsible for proper resource allocation within the sales function, including managing budgets for sales campaigns, training, and other sales-related expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Sales Strategies: Responsible for designing sales strategies aligned with business objectives, including identifying target markets, customer segments, and sales opportunities.
- Setting Revenue Targets: Works closely with top management to define revenue goals for the sales team, develop actionable plans to achieve them, and regularly track performance against these targets.
- Sales Team Leadership: Leads, motivates, and develops the sales team, including hiring, training, and professional development of team members.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintains and strengthens customer relationships, ensures high customer satisfaction, retains existing clients, and supports the acquisition of new customers.
- Sales Analytics & Reporting: Conducts performance analyses and prepares sales reports for management, including tracking sales KPIs, revenue forecasts, and market share.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates closely with departments such as Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service to align sales activities with overall company goals and drive process improvement, including the use of technology to enhance efficiency and communication.
- Sales Execution & Deal Management: Oversees end-to-end sales processes such as tender management, value proposition development, sales narrative, negotiations, contracting, onboarding, account activation, renewal management, and business expansion through cross- and upselling.
What you bring:- Proven experience in managing and leading large, often remote, sales teams
- Solid track record in practical sales management, particularly in the assistance and insurance sectors
- Demonstrated experience in customer and market development, including working with brokers and partners
- Strong capability to design and implement pragmatic, scalable solutions
- Experience in business development and strategic sales planning
- Hands-on experience in IT and information security operations (not mandatory but beneficial)
- Existing network within the insurance industry
- Negotiation skills
