Qualifikationen

As Head of Sales Operations (d/f/m), you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management as well as the continuous optimization of all sales-supporting processes and systems.

Your focus will be on enabling the sales organization through structured, data-driven processes and deep expertise in the areas of payment, acquiring, pricing, and digitalization. In this role, you act as a key interface between Sales, Product Management, Finance, and external partners.

Your Tasks

  • Take ownership of the development and optimization of the Sales Operations strategy to increase efficiency, transparency, and scalability.
  • Lead and further develop the Sales Operations team in the mid to long term.
  • Support the definition and execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and maintain a transparent pricing framework, including managing the pricing of payment products (e.g. acquiring, girocard fees, interchange, scheme fees).
  • Support contract negotiations with clients and partners in close collaboration with Legal & Compliance.
  • Establish and continuously improve commission settlement processes for internal and external sales partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and IT on the ongoing development of payment processing platforms.
  • Oversee clearing processes and coordinate them with Finance & Controlling.
  • Manage collaboration with external service providers through a structured vendor management approach.
  • Implement and further develop digital sales enablement tools (e.g. CRM systems, offer management, workflow tools).
  • Design and implement efficient process management structures, particularly in the context of growing regulatory and market requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze sales KPIs to support data-driven decision-making for management.

Your Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in Sales Operations or a similar role, ideally in the payment or financial services industry
  • In-depth knowledge of acquiring, payment facilitator models, girocard fee structures, pricing models, and clearing processes
  • Proven experience in designing and managing go-to-market processes
  • Strong understanding of contracting and experience working with Legal and Compliance teams
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of processes
  • Familiarity with modern CRM and billing systems; Salesforce knowledge is a plus
  • High level of initiative, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated leadership competence
