TGRC is looking for a Head of Sales to work for a tech-led, rapidly growing business with a unique proposition in an old-fashioned market. Fun, ambitious, and passionate team.

The Client:

This client is an innovative and fast-growing company redefining the commercial energy buying and sustainability space. Providing smart energy services for a net zero era, they combine innovative technology with extensive sector experience to support customers with data-led analytics and live insights that drive informed decision-making and effective strategy execution across procurement, carbon reduction and compliance.

Since their launch in 2013, they have built an impressive portfolio of customers and partners, providing a platform for large-scale energy buyers to manage their energy and the procurement process. Their plans are for rapid expansion, with a focus on the German market.

The Role:

The role will play an integral part in the expansion of the business into the German – and subsequently, wider European market, developing new opportunities for the organisation and winning new business. It will contribute, develop, and lead the business strategy around sustainability and procurement.

  1. Research organisations and identify new business opportunities to grow customer base.
  2. Become a figurehead for the European sales team, working closely with the marketing team to develop PR and lead-generation strategies.
  3. Create strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
  4. Build future sales by managing a pipeline of prospects through customer relationship building and market awareness.
  5. Build relationships with customers and prospects, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these.
  6. Identify new opportunities for sales campaigns and work with the Marketing team to execute them.
  7. Attend events and conferences to build relationships and gain new leads.
  8. Accurately forecast sales achievement and actively work towards achieving it, including logging all sales-related activity in the CRM, HubSpot.

We are looking for someone with a flair for bringing technology to life through engaging and inspiring customer solutions and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. You have a passion for understanding customer needs and creating compelling proposals that put the user at the centre of your approach.

We'd like you to use your experience and develop your existing skills in this role which should include these abilities:

  1. Demonstrated experience in a business development role in a Professional Services environment.
  2. Experience working with HubSpot is preferential, and an understanding of the core components of pipeline management is valuable.
  3. An understanding of the energy sector or client-facing experience is essential, as well as a passion for providing market-leading industry insight when it comes to upselling/cross-selling and business developing.
  4. Strong experience in developing and managing relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  5. Strong understanding of the sales cycle and the required components to promote and drive a successful opportunity.
