Job summary

BENEO, part of the Südzucker Group, is seeking a senior quality operations leader to implement and operationalize the group’s quality strategy across segment manufacturing sites in Germany. You will drive recruitment and development of quality and laboratory teams in close collaboration with Site Directors to build a high-performing technical community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical field.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in Quality Operations within the feed, food, chemical processing industry, with proven team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operationalize the Group’s quality strategy, policies, and objectives within all assigned segment manufacturing sites, in order to achieve company-wide targets and report on localized quality KPIs.
• Drive the recruitment, motivation, and professional development of the segment's quality and laboratory teams in close collaboration and alignment with the Site Directors, in order to build a highly qualified, aligned, and high-performing technical community at the site level.
• Ensure that the production of specific segment products complies with all internal guidelines, third-party certifications, and international regulatory requirements, in order to meet agreed customer expectations and safety standards.
• Provide input and advice to the Site Director regarding the site's quality-related OPEX and CAPEX budgets, in order to optimize resource allocation, support annual operational plans, and strengthen long-term site quality capabilities.
• Lead immediate food, feed, or product safety incident investigations and localized crisis management teams within the segment, in order to execute containment actions, liaise with local authorities, and prevent non-compliant products from entering the market.
• Standardize quality-related workflows and laboratory testing methods across the assigned business units, in order to align segment-specific operations with the broader BENEO/CE and Südzucker guidelines.
• Drive operational excellence and cost efficiency in laboratory operations across the assigned segment sites, including supporting the hands-on implementation and utilization of LIMS, in order to elevate testing consistency and data accuracy.
• Operationalize new quality-related testing processes and hazard analyses before placing new segment product extensions or innovations on the market, in order to secure launch readiness and compliance.
• Oversee the efficient resolution of customer complaints, specialized documentation requests, and third-party quality audits for the segment portfolio, in order to enhance customer satisfaction and protect industry-leading certification outcomes.
