Giesecke+Devrient is seeking a Head of Project Controlling (m/f/d) to lead the global project controlling function and develop governance, methodologies and financial standards across regions and projects. You will coach the international team and drive capability development and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Governance, Portfolio Steering & Leadership: lead global Project Controlling function and coach international team.
• Forecasting, EAC management, profitability analysis & financial reporting; challenge financial performance and mitigate risks.
• Ensure reliable project reporting, revenue recognition, accruals and compliance; provide portfolio reporting to executives.
• Drive standardization and improvement of controlling processes, tools and reporting; develop SAP-based structures.

Job description

For our department Controlling we are looking for a Head of Project Controlling (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities:

• Governance, Portfolio Steering & Leadership: Lead and continuously develop the global Project Controlling function, ensuring consistent governance, methodologies and financial standards across all regions and projects. Directly lead and coach the international Project Controlling team and drive capability development and knowledge sharing
• Financial Performance & Risk Management : Ensure transparency and financial control across the project portfolio through robust forecasting, EAC management, profitability analysis and financial reporting. Provide independent challenge of project financial performance and proactively identify, quantify and mitigate risks and opportunities
• Reporting, Compliance & Decision Support: Ensure reliable project reporting, revenue recognition, accruals, provisions and compliance with internal and external requirements. Provide consolidated portfolio reporting and financial decision support to executive management and key stakeholders
• Processes, Systems & Transformation: Drive standardization and continuous improvement of Project Controlling processes, tools and reporting structures. Support the development of SAP-based project structures and advance the digitalization of Project Controlling through modern analytics, planning and reporting solutions

Your Profile:

• Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field
• Extensive experience in Project Controlling, Commercial Project Management or Finance leadership within an international project business environment
• Strong expertise in project financial steering, governance, risk management and IFRS-project accounting, including SAP-based Project Controlling environments
• Proven leadership experience in developing high-performing teams and driving transformation in complex international organizations
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills; fluent in English
