A leading engineering company in Niedersachsen is seeking a Product Management Leader. The role involves coordinating a team of Product Managers and driving technology development aligned with strategic goals. The ideal candidate has a Master’s or PhD, over 5 years of leadership experience, and fluency in English and German. This position focuses on innovation and sustainability, offering a dynamic environment for growth.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Coordinate the team of Product Managers in Business Unit LFF; the PMs are direct reports in the CoCs.
Work within a matrix organization and in a coordination role.
Foster close cooperation with R&D / Application Management.
Contribute to aligning strategic priorities and product development.
Define technology development requirements for all LFF business areas according to the PLM model and improve communication.
Drive the technology development and innovation of core LFF technologies based on market and business needs.
Ensure technology development is supported by a business case, including investment budget, business, and project plans, developed with input from relevant stakeholders.
Align all products with Digi / Sustainability and Service according to current GEA design specifications.
Lead initiatives such as 'Add Better Labeling'.
Coordinate with other Business Units and Divisions on new technology development and support application development.
Support KPIs and strategic targets set by GEA Management, with a focus on Sustainability.
Act as a champion for GEA values and objectives.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Master’s Degree or PhD in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
Extensive experience in similar roles within engineering, process industry, equipment, or food & beverage manufacturing, including 5+ years in leadership.
Experience in technology management and/or Product Management.
Experience working in matrix organizations, influencing and leading without direct authority.
Fluent in English (verbal and written) and German (at least B2 level).
Project management experience within R&D.
End-to-end process understanding.
Commercial acumen.
Open-minded to new models, ideas, and innovations; a change champion.
Strong people management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
