In this strategic and hands-on leadership role, you will build and spearhead the product analytics function. This involves defining the vision and operational framework, but also personally conducting and guiding sophisticated analyses to measure product performance, deeply understand user behavior, and pinpoint growth opportunities across our digital ecosystem. You will be a key partner to product leadership, leveraging your own analytical expertise and your team's insights to guide impactful decisions that enhance our platform, delight our users, and drive business success.

Your contribution to success

  • Establish and scale a high-performing product analytics team. Define the team's vision, mission, and operational model, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and impact.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product analytics strategy that aligns with Conrad's overall product and business objectives. This includes defining key metrics (OKRs, KPIs) in partnership with product teams for various domains (e.g., e-commerce funnels, platform service adoption, marketplace dynamics).
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Product Design, and Marketing teams to embed data and insights into every stage of the product development lifecycle, from ideation and hypothesis validation to A/B testing, launch, and iteration.
  • Oversee the generation of deep-dive analyses, reports, and dashboards that uncover user behavior patterns, identify pain points and opportunities, and measure the impact of product initiatives. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to define data requirements, ensure data quality and integrity, and promote the accessibility and usability of product data and analytics tools.
  • Act as a primary advocate for data literacy within the product organization. Develop and implement training, resources, and best practices to enable self-service analytics and empower product teams to leverage data effectively.
  • Clearly and compellingly communicate analytical findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Your success factors

  • 8+ years of experience as a Product or Data Analyst in a dynamic environment, including a minimum 3 years leading teams - ideally with a broad mission scope or multiple stakeholders
  • Degree in a quantitative field e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical methods, A/B testing design and interpretation, and data mining techniques. Expertise with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, Looker Studio, Power BI, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and data querying languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Highly passionate about data, with creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
  • Adept at translating complex data into clear, concise, and compelling narratives and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data pipelines, and event tracking. Familiarity with product development processes.
  • Proactive in identifying challenges and opportunities through data, with a curious mindset and a drive for continuous improvement in analytics practices.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a significant advantage.
