At Single-Use and Integrated Platform Solutions within Process Solutions, we are committed to transforming the future of bioprocessing. To support this, we are seeking a senior leader to join as the Head of Portfolio Operations - Strategic Programs for the SUIPS business.

Your Impact
In this visible role, you will drive operational readiness, ensuring competitiveness, resilience, and alignment with market needs through long-range planning, cross-functional execution, and business transformation initiatives. You will serve as a key interface between commercial, supply chain, and operations, translating strategy into action.

Your Role
Strategic & Business Leadership

• Shape and drive the SUIPS long-term plan to anticipate market trends and business needs.
• Represent SUIPS as IBM's business lead, aligning operational priorities with strategic goals.
• Translate customer and commercial needs into operational requirements and plans.
• Act as the main interface to the value chain, ensuring seamless integration of commercial, supply, and quality functions.

Operational Execution & Excellence

• Lead initiatives including Strategic Investment Programs (SIPs), efficiency programs, and change projects.
• Oversee business case development, CAPA implementations, and investment planning.
• Ensure smooth introduction of new products into operations and supply chains.

Risk Management & Process Optimization

• Drive risk mitigation, second sourcing strategies, and supply continuity plans.
• Proactively respond to disruptions, compliance risks, and emerging challenges.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and inspire a team of senior professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Enhance clarity, focus, and development within the team to meet strategic objectives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or related fields; MBA a plus.
• 10+ years in strategic operations, supply chain, product management, marketing, or consulting, preferably in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
• Proven leadership managing senior teams for at least 5 years.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrix environment.
• Strong business acumen, strategic mindset, and project management skills; certification a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
