As Head of Onshore Operations Germany, you will lead multiple service and operations teams, ensuring high performance in Health & Safety, asset availability, and OPEX.
You drive the self-perform strategy, ensure & manage daily resource deployment, and foster team development. Regular site visits keep you connected to operations, enabling continuous improvement and service quality. You collaborate with stakeholders and delegate properly tasks to team leads.

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead and develop decentralized, high-performing service teams within the region.
  • Define and implement regional service strategies in alignment with business objectives.
  • Empower team leads and technicians through trust, clear delegation, and visible leadership.

2. Team Development & Culture

  • Promote continuous learning and decision-making at the point of expertise.
  • Act as a coach and enabler; support professional development and reflective practice.
  • Strengthening trust and cooperation across functions and hierarchies

3. Operational Excellence & Optimization

  • Ensure efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Oversee the annual inspection and maintenance program for optimized resource use.
  • Apply Lean tools (Gemba, root cause analysis, visual performance management).
  • Implement measurable improvement actions with clear KPIs to track effectiveness, learning and sustainability.

4. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Own and improve HSE targets and associated processes across the region.
  • Contract and documentation Management (e.g. land leases, service providers, HSE) with legal and operational oversight.
  • Ensure timely and accurate regional reporting (e.g. MTP, monthly KPIs, audits).

Core Competencies / profile

Technical & Professional

  • Proven expertise in operations, maintenance, and field service as well as application of Lean Management
  • Strong knowledge of technical standards, documentation, HSE legislation and compliance processes.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills; experience in developing self-organized teams.

Personal Attributes and communication

  • High integrity and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Presence-driven leadership: willingness to travel and be regularly on site.
  • Curiosity, humility, and confidence in enabling rather than controlling.
  • Clear, respectful communication across all hierarchy levels.

Required Background

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
