Zusammenfassung

Volvo Construction Equipment is seeking a Head of Logistics for the Konz site to lead and develop the logistics organization. You will own end-to-end supply chain operations, drive performance through VPS and Lean, and lead strategic change across processes and technology.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and IT, balancing stakeholder interests, and shaping a future-oriented logistics strategy in a global network.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management or a comparable field.
• Several years of leadership experience in logistics, supply chain or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in leading larger and complex organizations.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with a deep understanding of operational realities.
• Proven ability to drive change and transformation.
• Solid knowledge of VPS / Lean, logistics processes and supply chain optimization.
• Practical experience in applying digital solutions, automation and data-driven approaches in an industrial environment.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• High level of business acumen and proactive mindset.
• Business-fluent in German and English, enabling collaboration in local and global teams.

Aufgaben

• Leading, developing and empowering the logistics organization at the Konz site
• End-to-end responsibility for supply chain and logistics operations, from planning to execution
• Systematically improving performance, stability and efficiency by applying the Volvo Production System (VPS) and Lean principles
• Driving change initiatives across logistics, covering organizational, process-related and technological aspects (e.g. digitalization, automation, data analytics)
• Translating business strategy into a clear and future-oriented logistics strategy
• Close collaboration with other plant functions (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, IT) and global networks
• Driving initiatives to improve logistics efficiency, robustness and sustainability
• Ensuring alignment between people, processes and business objectives
• Actively managing and balancing the interests of employees, customers, owners and society
