Join us in building the most efficient logistics platform in the industry! Increasing logistics efficiency is one of Wolts strategic focus areas. It enables us to continue capital-efficient hypergrowth and provide a world-class customer and partner experience. We have significantly improved both delivery efficiency and quality over the years, expanding to 25 markets under the Wolt brand. We are now looking for a Head of Logistics Development to elevate our efficiency and quality, unlocking growth through new logistics services that will support top-line opportunities.

In this high-impact role, you will collaborate closely with Logistics Product leads to design an optimal delivery logistics network for Wolt, enhancing efficiency and customer experience. Your responsibilities include improving delivery promise, estimate accuracy, task allocation, and removing inefficiencies. You will work with country operations teams to optimize city, fleet, and delivery area setups for growth, quality, and efficiency. Additionally, you will develop logistics services to support new business lines like Wolt Drive, Parcel delivery, and Last Mile enablement, driving user growth and order volumes.

Success requires strong conceptual thinking and analytical problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate quickly understands complex topics and effectively communicates insights. You should think strategically and plan ahead, while also delving into logistics system details. The role demands excellent program management and communication skills to coordinate across 25 countries.

You will report to the Head of Global Delivery Operations. The preferred locations are Helsinki, Finland, or Berlin, Germany.

What You'll Be Doing

Accountable for global logistics efficiency and customer/courier experience:

• Partner with the Logistics Product team to improve estimate accuracy, task allocation, map accuracy, and more
• Become a subject matter expert in optimizer configurations, conducting experiments for validated learnings
• Identify and implement new logistics initiatives like alternative vehicle types, parcel deliveries, and hyper-bundling
• Continuously test and iterate on opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency
• Collaborate closely with country operations, product teams, and central stakeholders

You will report to the Head of Global Delivery Operations. For internal candidates, location is flexible.

• Extensive experience in operations or strategic business development in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to switch between details and big picture, understanding logistics system complexities
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on data skills (Looker, Google Sheets, SQL preferred)
• Master's degree in business, engineering, or related field
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proactive attitude with ownership and drive for continuous improvement
• Leadership qualities emphasizing collaboration, data-driven decisions, humility, and politeness
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
