The GKL Gemeinsame Klassenlotterie der Länder is looking for a committed, future-oriented person to start as soon as possible at the Munich office as a
Head of IT Department (m/f/d)
with responsibility for strategic digitalization and modern IT projects
Your tasks
- Strategic and operational management of the IT department with currently two specialist areas (application operations and infrastructure), each with team leadership
- Further development and implementation of the IT strategy in close coordination with the Executive Board
- Management of major central IT projects, including:
- the renewal of the lottery software,
- the introduction of a new ERP/financial accounting system,
- a multi-client capable CRM and
- the connection of a modern web store with regulatory interface connection.
- Promotion of digital working methods, process simplification and automation.
- Responsibility for IT budget, IT compliance, information security and provider management.
- Communication with internal stakeholders, external partners and service providers at eye level.
Your profile
- Degree in economics, business informatics, computer science, engineering or a comparable field. A Master's degree or further qualifications are an advantage.
- Proven experience in the successful management of challenging IT projects, ideally as project manager or sub-project manager in a larger project.
- High level of understanding of modern IT architectures, cloud solutions, interface management and digitalization.
- Ability to actively shape change processes and take employees along with you in this change.
- Desirable: initial management experience or the willingness and potential to grow into a management role
- Strong communication skills, decisiveness and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience in a public or regulated environment is an advantage, but not a requirement.
