About our client

Our client is a small-cap healthcare company specialising in medical products. Supported by a successful private equity investor, they are preparing for growth and international expansion. They seek a Head of Finance to join as a key business partner to the CEO, based in the Goettingen area, Germany.

What the job involves

• Serving as a strategic business partner to the CEO and the investor
• Developing and executing financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives
• Building a top-tier finance function, including robust controlling and reporting structures
• Providing detailed financial analysis, insights, and benchmarks for strategic decision-making
• Delivering accurate financial reports to management and shareholders, including ad-hoc analyses
• Overseeing budget planning, financial controls, forecasting, and financial statement reporting
• Implementing and optimizing management information systems and KPI frameworks
• Managing cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and capital structure
• Overseeing tax-related matters
• Managing financial reporting under leverage financing
• Leading financing processes and M&A transactions, including post-merger integration
• Improving finance processes, controls, and reporting tools
• Leading organizational optimization and transformation initiatives
• Serving as the primary contact for stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and tax advisors

Who we are looking for

• University degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Head of Finance in a small- to mid-cap company, with a record of delivering results and driving change
• Experience in PE-backed companies and M&A transactions is a plus
• Carve-out experience is advantageous
• Background in healthcare and/or manufacturing sectors is beneficial
• Strong finance expertise, including controlling and accounting
• Hands-on, self-driven, eager to impact a growing environment
• Analytical, data-driven, with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strategic thinker with modern, inclusive, and empathetic leadership style
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
