Qualifikationen

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium in BWL, VWL oder verwandtem Bereich.
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Finanzbereich und in der Führung von Finanzteams.

Your mission

As Head of Finance, you will play a central role in shaping and implementing our financial strategy and ensuring the financial integrity and long-term success of the company.

• Development and implementation of the company's financial strategy and planning in close cooperation with the CEO and COO, including the implementation of corporate strategy in long-term financial planning.
• Management and further development of the finance department with 3-4 employees
• Responsibility for accounting, (project) controlling, budgeting and cash management, in particular for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, as well as monthly reports, for the conversion of accounting from HGB to IFRS, for managing all processes related to annual budgeting and forecasting, monitoring accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and fixed asset accounting, treasury, cash and liquidity management (liquidity planning, financial planning and investments)
• Development and implementation of a digital controlling and consolidation tool to carry out effective controlling in the company
• Development, implementation and monitoring of meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs) as a control instrument and decision support for management
• Internal and external point of contact for management, auditors, tax advisors, shareholders, tax authorities, etc.
• Responsibility for corporate finance activities

Your profile

• Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics or a related field.
• Proven, multi-year professional experience in finance and in leading finance teams, preferably also with experience in corporate structures, with an open mind towards working in a medium-sized research institute
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and consolidation according to HGB & IFRS as well as confident handling of all common MS Office products
• Preferably experience in implementing controlling/consolidation tools (e.g. LucaNet, Jedox)
• Strong analytical skills, process-oriented thinking and solution-oriented
• Ability and willingness to support all financial topics with a strong hands-on approach
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Integrity and ethical behaviour in all business matters
