The position offers a fantastic platform for the right candidate to take on a varied role, leading a team of finance professionals through a range of aspects. Among many responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to supervise the processes of financial statements and reporting, reviewing board packs with an analytical approach, manage outsourced team members, and present to the local German Management board.

Responsibilities :

• Managing a team of dynamic and driven finance professionals
• Taking an analytical approach when reviewing board packs
• Utilise strong IFRS / German GAAP knowledge when overseeing month-end duties
• Provide support and guidance to outsourced team members
• Ensuring financial statements are completely accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Consistently provide team members with advice and guidance, to ensure high quality results

Ideal candidate :

Qualified Chartered Accountant

Extensive experience within the financial service sectors, ideally having held a similar leadership position

Can consider a Manager level candidate, eager to progress to the next stage of their career

Excellent knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP

German tax law experience is considered a benefit

German and English fluency
