Key Responsibilites

Strategic Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and execute the local financial strategy in line with the company's goals.
• Analyze financial trends, prepare forecasts, and provide insights to influence decision-making.
  
  

Budgeting & Reporting:

• Oversee the budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to local management
• Identify and manage financial risks, implementing appropriate controls and strategies to mitigate potential impacts.
  
  

Compliance & Regulation:

• Ensure compliance with German financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulators, managing audits and inspections as required.
  
  

Manage local finance processes:

• Ensure quality and delivery of local finance processes
• Work closely with key service providers, to ensure alignment of service requirements and high quality delivery
• Collaborate with product teams to optimize financial performance and support the development of innovative claims products.
  
  

Local market analysis:

• Maintain an understanding of the local insurance market and industry trends.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations based on local market insights.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA would be a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive financial experience, leadership experience and experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
• Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
