Tasks

Take responsibility for our engineering efforts and the growth of the jOS SaaS platform in a dynamic, startup-like environment.

As a Head of Engineering, you will have the chance to:

1. Create and oversee the evolution of jOS
2. Work closely with top management
3. Manage a team of developers
4. Set up and control internal development processes
5. Take ownership of internal systems
6. Participate in the evolution of business strategy

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on architecture or team leadership, ideally with a degree in computer science or a related field (e.g., mathematics, physics)
• In-depth understanding of cloud-based distributed systems
• Excellent verbal skills and proven ability to communicate vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of English; working knowledge of German is a plus
• Experience with React and AWS technology stacks is a plus
• Contribute to building the best digital publishing platform in a permanent full-time position, available immediately or as per your planning
