The Corporate IT (CIT) of Carl Zeiss AG is responsible for the IT across all strategic business units (SBU) of ZEISS. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Digital Workplace Engineering (f/m/x) to lead our team in the realm of End User Computing (EUC) technologies. This role requires a blend of strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a productive and collaborative team environment.
Your RoleImprove Team Productivity: Focus on enhancing the efficiency and output of your team
Ensure the well-being and performance of your team members and support teams around you
Lead Workplace Projects: Oversee the engineering efforts for infrastructure and new projects, ensuring that systems are designed and implemented effectively
Provide Technical Guidance: Use your technical knowledge to guide your team in achieving high standards and support their professional growth
Collaborate on Planning: Work with engineers, product owners, and senior leadership to create and implement actionable plans and roadmaps for new initiatives
Support Lean and Agile Practices: Encourage and implement lean and agile methodologies to improve processes and increase productivity
Facilitate Career Development: Hold regular one-on-one meetings, provide feedback, and engage in conversations to support career growth, including coaching and mentoring
Build an Inclusive Culture: Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that reflects our company values
Proven experience in building and developing teams of technical professionals
Experience in operational technology harmonization. Strong technical understanding of workplace technologies such as Citrix, Intune, SCCM, Windows, and others
A mindset focused on enhancing end-user experience
Ability to lead, develop, and inspire team members
Knowledge of current technological trends to inform strategic planning
Deep understanding of large-scale corporate operations
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
