Head of Corporate Strategy (m/w/d)

BIOTRONIK is one of the leading manufacturers of cardio- and endovascular implants and catheters for cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology and vascular intervention. Corporate Strategy is a key pillar of the Corporate Development team at BIOTRONIK, which covers next to Strategy also Transformation and M&A. As the Head of Strategy, you will be reporting to the VP Corporate Development.

Your Responsibilities

• Definition, implementation, and review of the global Corporate Strategy, considering global market developments, trends, competition, and customer needs
• Evaluation and definition of a strategy for growth, portfolio and finance
• Definition, alignment, and review of the target operating model (TOM), allowing the Corporate Strategy to come to life in daily operations
• Together with the market intelligence team, building an in-depth understanding of core and adjacent markets, competition, and customer needs/ preferences
• Early identification of relevant technology, market and customer trends and derivation of strategic initiatives for the long-term positioning of the company
• Close collaboration with the Board/top management, other departments, and regions in order to build a 360 degree understanding of the organization and incorporate the organization’s viewpoints into the Corporate Strategy and TOM
• Build and lead a Strategy taskforce, fostering individual ownership and growth, but also great collaboration within the team
  
  

Ihr Profil

• Excellent university degree (any major)
• At least 4 years of professional experience with one of the top-tier strategy consulting firms; any additional experience in strategy consulting or a corporate development position is a plus
• Previous experience in MedTech and with M&A are a plus, but not required
• Experience with defining and designing a Corporate Strategy and TOM, including demonstrated knowledge of the underlying theory as well as hands-on experience in conducting cross-departmental workshops
• Demonstrated experience in leading small project teams, including supporting more junior team members in their professional growth
• Analytical strength, intellectual curiosity, high quality standards and ambition, paired with an easy to work with and down to earth personality; entrepreneurial thinking, acting and storytelling in a persuasive way
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is beneficial, but not required
• Willingness to work from our offices in Berlin five days a week
