- Forge deep relationships with media and handle enquiries on a number of issues.
- Identify public speaking and media opportunities and prepare and brief spokespeople.
- Be a core member of the German office team, providing strategic counsel and support.
- Brief and prepare executives in Germany, Europe, and from the US.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including GTM, Legal, Global Affairs, and Research.
You might thrive in this role if you:
- Have 12+ years of professional PR and Media Relations experience.
- Have proven success in building relationships and collaborating with media, commentators, creators, executives, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Have experience in corporate, B2B, technology, and consumer communications - across traditional media and online platforms, with knowledge of AI.
- Have proven experience of supporting and briefing executives (local and from the US).
- Have experience working in international roles for global companies.
- Have experience managing agency partners.
- Want to be part of a small, highly experienced team that makes meaningful contributions.
- Are fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
- Have a passion for new technologies and helping people understand them.
- Have a strong network of contacts within German media outlets, including national and regional press, trade media, and digital platforms.
- Possess excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages.
- Have experience handling sensitive issues with the media.
- Are comfortable in a fast-paced environment managing high-profile stories under tight deadlines.
- Have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have knowledge of the German and DACH cultural and business landscape to tailor comms strategies effectively.
