About the Job: Sanofi Manufacturing and Supply organization is preparing for its future through an ambitious program named Modulus. The Modulus Project is central to Sanofi's strategy, aiming to create a new manufacturing concept with evolutive, multi-product facilities that are modular, adaptable, and agile, leveraging disruptive technologies to address challenges in vaccine business and Specialty Care Biologics products.
As the Head of Clean Utility & Sustainability, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation and maintenance of Clean Utility (CU) systems.
- Leading the site's cross-functional sustainability program to meet Sanofi’s Planet Care targets for CO2, Energy, Water, Waste, and Biodiversity.
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality within the clean utility systems.
- Managing the department budget for clean utilities and utilities (gas, electricity, water, carbon).
- Managing budgets related to utilities consumption, conservation projects, and sustainability initiatives, and identifying opportunities to drive cost savings through energy efficiency and water reduction.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to identify reliability, maintainability, and HSE improvements for clean utility systems.
- Providing SME input for Tier 1, 2, and 3 projects related to Clean utilities and Sustainability.
- Managing and preparing engineers and technicians for audit readiness on CU topics.
- Overseeing the selection of contractors and vendors for CU maintenance, ensuring compliance with Quality and HSE standards, and maintaining high performance-to-cost ratio.
- Managing SOPs and Work Instructions related to CU.
- Developing the site sustainability roadmap.
- Managing a team of engineers and technicians, fostering talent, and driving performance and development planning.
- Driving continuous improvement in CU operations.
- Monitoring KPIs & Metrics, maintaining zero lost-time accidents related to CU operations, highlighting and managing near misses and pSIFs to improve safety awareness.
- Maintaining sustainability targets for Energy, CO2, Water, Wastewater.
- Ensuring a healthy budget for Utilities and Clean Utilities.
- Ensuring Quality Compliance through timely deviation resolution, CAPA closure, adherence to change control timelines, and zero overdue training.
- Collaborating with Maintenance to ensure zero overdue work orders.
About You:
- Degree or Master’s in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial & Systems).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Clean Utilities operations and maintenance management in biopharmaceuticals or API manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sustainability Engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with vaccine manufacturing experience highly desirable.
- Experience in HVAC and black utilities management is a plus.
- Familiarity with local government regulations, relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations in Singapore.
- Certified Energy Manager and Boiler Competence certification preferred.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance in utility systems operation and maintenance.
- Strong people management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proven success in leading and coaching technical teams to achieve results.
- Strategic planning and objectives management skills.
- Sound budgeting and financial control abilities.
