MICE DESK is seeking a hands-on BizOps/Operations leader based in Leipzig to map end-to-end processes, design and implement automation using no-code/low-code tools, and own the CRM architecture and data platform. You will collaborate with Sales, Onboarding, Finance, and Engineering, shaping the company’s growth through scalable operations.

The role requires deep experience in automations, CRM migration, and data modeling, plus fluent German and English.

Your mission

• Process mapping & prioritisation: You map end-to-end processes across Sales, Onboarding, Customer Delivery, Finance, People Operations and Legal, quantify the effort involved, and prioritise by time saved and error risk — not by who complains loudest.
• End-to-end automation: You design and build yourself. No-code/low-code (n8n, Make, Zapier), scripts, API integrations, LLM-powered workflows. You make deliberate calls on where no-code ends and engineering begins.
• Data platform: Together with the Analytics Engineer, you own our internal data model, the data warehouse, and the single authoritative definition of our key metrics.
• CRM architecture & strategy: You own the data model of our CRM (currently Pipedrive) — object structure, field logic, lifecycle stages. You assess whether it can carry our enterprise customers with group hierarchies (hotel group -> legal entity -> individual property), make the migration call, and lead it if required.
• Tool landscape & budget: Consolidation, not collection. You evaluate, negotiate, roll out — and switch off whatever fails to deliver value.
• Standards & operations: Documentation, monitoring, failure alerting, clear ownership. Automations nobody understands and nobody monitors are technical debt with a calendar invite.
• Leadership: You lead two direct reports — hands-on, with a high personal share of the actual build.

Your profile

• 5+ years in Business Operations, BizOps, Internal Operations or Process Engineering — including at least two years at a growth-stage startup or scale-up (Series A to C) that actually grew.
• You have built automations yourself, not just commissioned them. n8n, Make or equivalent; strong SQL; Python or JavaScript for when no-code hits a wall.
• You understand CRM data models at architect level (Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce or comparable) and have owned at least one CRM migration or fundamental restructuring.
• You can discuss the same problem with a sales rep, an accountant and a backend engineer on the same day — and all three understand you.
• Fluent German and English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with a modern data stack (dbt, BigQuery/Snowflake/Postgres, Metabase/Looker).
• A consulting background followed by an operator role (not the other way round).
• Background in hospitality, travel, or B2B SaaS with long sales cycles.
