As Head of Bid and Contract Management EU/LATAM (m/f/d) you will drive the bid and contract management EU/LATAM and also support the global team in certain topics across regions. You are responsible for the bid process as well as the contractual and financial aspects. You will ensure that through continuous development and preparation of competitive bid documents, tender proposals, and contractual negotiation, contractual risks are identified, evaluated, and mitigated. A highly motivated and diverse team will require your collegial and agile leadership style.
Your tasks:- Leading the Bid- and Contract Management team in Europe and Latin America and supporting in dedicated topics also globally across regions
- Ensuring the team meets its objectives and the execution of the overall functional guidelines and procedures in the bid phase
- Steering, managing, and optimizing all commercial, financial, and contractual topics and processes during the bid phase according to given G+D guidelines
- Evaluating the best fitting project contractual and commercial business model and solution deal for G+D and customer
- Coordinating between the internal interfaces such as Tax, Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Customs and Logistics, Service, Compliance, Export Control, and other Key Stakeholders, considering their aspects and guidelines when preparing bids
- Evaluating the opportunities in terms of risks, requirements, and feasibility
- Creating competitive offers and cost-efficient calculations in close alignment with the respective technical units
- Negotiating with customers on contract terms, pricing, project agreements, and change requests in close alignment with the respective sales unit
- Serving as the first point of contact for the Bid- and Contract Management team regarding questions and/or issues in terms of the contracting processes as well as contractual matters and disputes during the contract lifecycle
- Taking on responsibility for reliable risk management and proper, legal documentation of the offering
- Ensuring a proper handover to the execution team
Your profile:- University degree (e.g. master degree, MBA, etc.) in business administration, business law, or equivalent
- Several years of relevant professional experience, preferably also in software contracts, machine business, or plant engineering
- Profound management experience in a leadership role and in international project management
- Experience in Change Management
- Thorough understanding and know-how in risk management and mitigation
- You see your strengths not only in contract management and the drafting of contracts but also bring expertise in the areas such as tax, legal, and finance
- Strong communication skills, intercultural sensitivity, and awareness of working with different cultures, locations, and time zones
- Flexibility in mind: Solution-oriented mindset and thinking outside the box
- Business fluent language skills in German and English and preferably additional knowledge in Spanish, French, or Italian
