Head of BESS (f/m/x)

As the Head of BESS Germany, you will lead and expand our battery energy storage solutions in Germany. Your role includes building a project pipeline of several hundred MW, guiding projects from development to operational management, and influencing the company's strategic direction in Germany. You will be part of the German senior management team, working with experienced professionals dedicated to renewable energy growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior leader to impact the future of energy storage and renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for stand-alone or hybrid battery energy storage projects aligned with company goals
• Work with the Energy Markets/Commercial Team to shape business models and strategies
• Partner with Business Development and M&A teams to source and co-develop projects
• Collaborate with Investment and Commercial teams on financial modeling, regulatory compliance, and market strategies
• Build relationships with stakeholders like developers, grid operators, and industry representatives
• Coordinate with CFO to finance projects effectively
• Work with COO and Program Management to bring projects to NTP with optimized design and cost-effective execution
• Leverage experience in German power markets or renewable investments
• Deep understanding of the German energy landscape, grid services, trading, and regulations
• Proven track record in project development, financial modeling, and revenue optimization
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in German and English
• Leadership skills with a collaborative approach; passion for renewable energy
• Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
