Role description

As the Head of Analytics and Pricing, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for data-driven decision-making, pricing strategy, and business intelligence for OLX’s General Classifieds vertical. This role will drive monetization, competitive pricing models, and advanced analytics to optimize revenue, user engagement, and marketplace efficiency. You will deliver business impact in a fast-paced, digital marketplace environment through pricing models, A/B testing, performance analytics, and market intelligence. This role sits at the intersection of multiple areas: pricing, data science, product, and commercial strategy. You will manage a team of data scientists and analysts to optimize business performance and unlock insights that enhance user experience, marketplace efficiency, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Pricing Strategy & Monetization
  2. Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies for listings, packages, and new services.
  3. Analyze competitor pricing, demand elasticity, and user behavior to optimize revenue.
  4. Collaborate with product, sales, and commercial teams to ensure maximum pricing impact.
  5. Partner with Finance to size impacts of pricing initiatives.
  1. Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence
  2. Lead a team of data scientists and analysts to generate actionable insights.
  3. Build predictive models to forecast demand, churn, and pricing sensitivity.
  4. Define KPIs and dashboards to track business health, pricing performance, and business trends.
  5. Drive insights to action by translating data insights into strategic initiatives.
  6. Run A/B tests and experiments to refine pricing tiers and business strategies.
  7. Identify growth opportunities through segmentation and cohort analysis.
  8. Work with data engineering teams to oversee data infrastructure, governance, and BI tools to enable self-service analytics.
  1. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  2. Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of analysts, data scientists, and pricing experts.
  3. Work closely with product, finance, and regional teams to align on pricing and analytics priorities.
  4. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clear, data-backed narratives.
  5. Partner with leadership in commercial, product, and finance to identify data opportunities and implement recommendations.
  6. Build and mentor a high-performing data team (engineers, scientists, analysts).
Who we are looking for
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, strategy, or analytics roles, preferably in classifieds, marketplaces, e-commerce, or digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of pricing models and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python / R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with big data platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • MBA, Master’s in Economics, Data Science, or a quantitative field preferred.
  • Business Acumen: Proven ability to balance data insights with commercial strategy.
  • Leadership: Experience managing high-performing analytics teams in a fast-paced environment.
