Zusammenfassung

roadsurfer is seeking a Head of Accounting & Tax to own the entire accounting function for the Roadsurfer Group. You report to the CFO and shape a scalable, audit‑proof finance organization with SAP at the center.

You will drive tax compliance, team development, and data‑driven processes while partnering with Controlling and Corporate Finance to enable AI‑native finance capabilities.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of accounting experience under German GAAP (HGB) with leadership of a team.
• Strong accounting qualification or equivalent certification (Bilanzbuchhalter or similar).
• Experience with SAP and finance transformation projects; SAP implementation/migration experience preferred.

• Head the roadsurfer Group accounting function with reliable, audit-proof reporting under HGB.
• Lead development of scalable, AI-ready finance processes and automation.
• Drive SAP implementation from design to go-live and post-launch stabilization.

As Head of Accounting & Tax, you own the entire accounting function of the Roadsurfer Group and lead your team through a period of real change. You report directly to the CFO and are part of a finance organisation that brings together Accounting, Tax, Controlling, Corporate Finance, and Finance Operations.

What makes this role special: you are not stepping into a finished structure - you actively shape it. You translate the demands of a fast‑growing company into clean, audit‑proof processes, and you play a key role in introducing SAP as our central ERP system.

The Role - Your Passion

• You lead the accounting function of the roadsurfer Group and you are responsible for reliable, timely, and audit‑proof financial reporting under German GAAP (HGB).
• You ensure tax compliance across the roadsurfer universe.
• You lead, develop and structure your accounting team, establishing a culture of clear ownership and reliable closing timelines.
• You help build an accounting function that is scalable, data‑driven, and ready for an AI‑native finance setup – combining strong accounting expertise with smart automation, clear process ownership, and high‑quality financial data.
• You play a central role in the company‑wide SAP implementation – from designing the accounting processes through testing to go‑live and post‑launch stabilisation.
• You are the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities, and you steer the audit process.
• You work closely with Controlling, Corporate Finance, and Finance Operations, and drive automation and digitalisation in accounting.

What You Need To Ride The Wave With Us

• Several years of relevant accounting experience, including responsibility for financial statements under German GAAP (HGB) and proven leadership of an accounting team.
• A strong accounting qualification, such as a degree in finance/accounting or a comparable certification, e.g. certified accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter.
• Experience with SAP and finance transformation projects; ideally, you have supported an SAP implementation or migration from an accounting perspective.
• A structured, hands‑on leadership style with the ability to build scalable processes in a dynamic environment.
• Curiosity for automation, AI‑supported finance workflows, and data‑driven process improvements.
• An eye for detail, a positive mindset combined with a solution focus.
• Fluent in English and good German skills.
