The University of Mary Washington, a Division III member of the NCAA, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lecturer/Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. The head coach will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, ensuring academic performance, managing team budget and travel, fundraising, overseeing assistant coaches, and preparing for practices and games. Additionally, the coach will teach courses within the Department of Athletics, Health, and Physical Education and must be CPR and First Aid certified. As part of the faculty, head coaches also contribute to service roles within the College of Education and the university.
The responsibilities include overseeing all facets of the lacrosse program, recruiting, academic oversight, budget management, fundraising, and coaching duties. The individual will also teach relevant courses and participate in university service activities, requiring CPR and First Aid certification.
