Job description

Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa are becoming Omterra. "We energize society" by supporting our customers to make the transition to a more sustainable world, based on innovative technologies and our ability to turn ideas into reality. With nearly 100,000 employees around the world, we shape the energy systems of today and tomorrow.

In the context of Siemens Energy's Transformation of Industry (TI) division establishing stand-alone operations, there is a critical business need to build up a dedicated, robust Cybersecurity organization. This executive-level role is established to ensure secure, resilient business operations, protect products, data, and assets, and maintain compliance with evolving global cybersecurity regulations.

To address these strategic objectives, the role focuses on three core areas: global cyber security strategy and governance, cyber defense and incident response operations, and executive stakeholder advisory. These areas directly support TI's operational continuity, regulatory alignment, and risk mitigation during and after its transition to stand-alone operations.

Given the focus on establishing a stand-alone security posture, the ideal candidate must possess a graduate degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, extensive leadership experience in enterprise-level IT/OT security, and a proven track record of managing diverse global teams and executive stakeholders.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Establish enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies, standards, governance mechanisms and assurance processes across all business units, functions and sites
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the TI Executive Management Board on cyber risk posture, material risk exposure and crisis response
  • Represent TI towards customers, regulators, authorities and industry bodies, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, IEC 62443 and relevant statutory regulations
  • Own and lead key cyber defense capabilities, including the Security Operations Center (SOC), CERT, threat intelligence, digital forensics and incident response platforms
  • Direct the response to major security incidents and coordinate ecosystem incident management and supply-chain resilience
  • Drive vulnerability management and proactive threat mitigation across both IT and OT infrastructures
  • Lead, build, and develop a global, diverse and multidisciplinary Cybersecurity organization for TI's stand-alone operations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the global security communities and business units
  • Manage the cybersecurity budget, resource allocation and succession pipeline to ensure long-term organizational capability
What You Bring
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience in enterprise-level cybersecurity, ideally with exposure to both IT and OT environments.
  • Proven experience in global stakeholder management and building security organizations from the ground up.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity Strategy & Governance, like Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) & ISO/IEC 27001, Industrial Cybersecurity Standards (IEC 62443) as well as Cybersecurity Risk Management & Compliance
  • Experience in Cyber Defense & Operations, like Incident Response & Digital Forensics, Vulnerability Management & Threat Intelligence as well as IT/OT Infrastructure Security (Identity & Access Management, Data Security)
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management skills like Executive Stakeholder Management & Advisory, Global Team Leadership & Capability Building as well as Strategic Communication & Influencing
