Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is seeking an HCM Functional Consultant (m/f/d) for a temporary role in Berlin, Germany. The role focuses on leading end-to-end Workday HCM implementations, configuring solutions, and advising clients, with mandatory business-level German or Italian fluency in addition to English.

You will translate client goals into functional HCM solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, remote consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Active Workday Core HCM Certification is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of functional experience in Workday HCM
• At least 5 years of consulting experience, gained as internal consultant, with a consulting or software company, or as a contractor supporting customer-side implementations
• Business-level fluency in German or Italian, both written and spoken, in addition to English, is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer business requirements and translate them into functional solutions within the Human Capital Management (HCM) environment
• Configure, implement, and optimize HCM functionalities to meet customer needs and business objectives
• Work closely with customer stakeholders to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver effective solutions
• Lead and participate in requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, and functional design discussions
• Support testing activities, troubleshoot functional issues, and ensure high-quality solution delivery
• Provide functional expertise and guidance throughout customer implementation and transformation projects
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and manage differing business needs and expectations
• Work independently in a remote consulting environment, using various tools and resources to deliver project outcomes

As a Functional Consultant, you will lead end-to-end HCM implementations, configure solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to customers, translating their strategic goals into effective system solutions.

Business-level fluency in German or Italian, in addition to English, is mandatory due to regular interaction with customer stakeholders.

Basic:

• Active Workday Core HCM Certification is mandatory. Candidates must hold a valid certification ad be ready for immediate deployment on customer engagements
• At least 5 years of functional experience in Workday HCM
• At least 5 years of consulting experience, gained as an internal consultant, with a consulting or software company, or as a contractor supporting customer-side implementations
• Business-level fluency in German or Italian, both written and spoken, in addition to English, is mandatory

Additional Qualifications:

• Additional Workday certifications in specialist modules are highly desirable
• Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders who have different needs and expectations, building trust and developing a strong understanding of their business requirements
• A genuine interest in customer business processes and delivering practical, value-driven solutions
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly through a variety of learning methods
• Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable working remotely with a high degree of autonomy and using a variety of digital tools
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, under normal circumstances
