Job Description

As an individual contributor and a member of the global Infrastructure team, the Hardware Portfolio Manager is accountable for IT Hardware Portfolio and Provider Management across the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of hardware products to meet market demands and business objectives. This position can be based either in Hannover or Timisoara.

Your Tasks

1. Standardize Client, Server, Printing solutions, and Hybrid Work and Teams Rooms hardware globally.
2. Lead technical hardware coordination to define client and server strategies aligned with customer needs, business goals, and market trends.
3. Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for vendors, customer representatives, purchasing organizations, and handle escalations.
4. Conduct market research and technical evaluation of hardware technologies and solutions.
5. Manage global hardware basket releases and catalogues for standard hardware devices.
6. Oversee hardware lifecycle, transitions, and communication management.
7. Conduct regular Business Review Meetings and assist in contract negotiations.
8. Specialize in Client/Server architecture, hardware standardization, and provider management.
9. Stay updated with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

1. Academic degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of hardware product development processes and lifecycle management.
3. Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.
4. Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure hardware, processes, service management, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
5. Intercultural sensitivity, customer focus, quality awareness, and strategic thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
7. Knowledge of purchasing reporting and processes is a plus.
