As Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d) – FPGA Carrier Boards & High-Speed PCBs, you will be a key part of our Hardware Development Team to drive the design and implementation of high-performance, impedance-controlled PCB layouts and FPGA carrier boards. Together with our World-Class-Team, currently 4 team members, you will take an empowering role: pushing the boundaries of drone technologies.

Overview

What is your Day-to-Day Mission:

• Design and development of complex high-speed PCB layouts with a focus on impedance-controlled and delay-matched routing
• Circuit design and development of carrier boards for FPGA modules in a mixed signal environment up to GHz frequencies
• Integration of analog components such as filters, amplifiers, ADCs, and DACs into digital systems
• Connection of external hardware via high-speed memory and data buses
• Conceptual design and implementation of digital interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, and UART
• Planning and implementation of robust clock distribution on multilayer PCBs
• Signal path design for both differential and single-ended signals, with a strong focus on signal integrity and EMC
• Close coordination with PCB manufacturers and assembly service providers to optimize the production process
• Ensuring a consistently low-noise, interference-resistant, and EMC-optimized hardware design

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in PCB design, particularly in high-speed and mixed-signal environments
• Proficient in using Altium Designer
• Hands-on experience in collaboration with manufacturing and assembly partners
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with a strong commitment to quality
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in English; German is a plus
