Job summary

Quantum-Systems GmbH is seeking a Hardware and Electronics Engineer to drive design and development of advanced electronic circuits for high-performance UAV systems. You will collaborate across hardware, firmware, and testing to optimize PCBs, prototypes, and test setups, while ensuring reliability and efficiency of embedded power electronics.

Responsibilities include schematic capture, layout, simulations, prototype bring-up, certification support, and QE with manufacturing docs.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or electronics.
• Experience in electronics development.
• Very good knowledge in electronics and digital circuitry.
• Experience in mixed signal design.
• Good knowledge in power electronics and measurement of analog signals.
• Good knowledge in EMI/EMC.
• Good knowledge in DFM for PCB Design.
• Interest in model aircraft, copter, robotics or embedded.

Responsibilities

• Layout, design, and development of electronic circuits (mixed-signal design, digital technology, power electronics).
• Board-level requirements engineering and test planning.
• Simulation of electronic circuits (e.g. LtSpice).
• Bring up prototypes according to test plans.
• Creation of schematics, layouts, and production files in Altium Designer.
• Optimization, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of existing circuits and PCB prototypes.
• Define and document manufacturing instructions for assembly suppliers.
• Support in certification processes at measurement laboratories (CE, FCC, etc.).
• Define and setup test equipment for commissioning and testing of prototypes.
• Support of QA of produced PCBs.
• Execute test procedures and validate operating limits (e.g. climatic chamber).
• Collaborate in the further development of the product development process.

Job description

As a Hardware and Electronics Engineer, you will be a key part of our hardware development team, driving the design and development of advanced electronic circuits. With our world-class team, you will play a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of embedded electronics and power systems.

You will work closely with stakeholders from hardware, firmware, and testing to develop, optimize, and validate electronic circuits for cutting‑edge applications. With a focus on high‑performance PCB design and prototyping, you will support our mission to set new benchmarks in electronic system reliability and efficiency.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Layout, design, and development of electronic circuits (mixed‑signal design, digital technology, power electronics)

• Board‑level requirements engineering and test planning
